After Animal and Pushpa, Rashmika Mandanna teams up with Salman Khan on Sajid Nadiadwala’s Sikandar

Rashmika Mandanna is all set to share screen space with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan for the first time. The upcoming film titled Sikandar will be directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

This news comes after months of speculation about the leading lady for the action-packed entertainer. According to sources, the makers were looking for a fresh pairing, and Rashmika perfectly fit the bill.

The source further revealed that Sikandar is more than just an action film. “There’s a strong story that results in an outflow of drama and emotions. The wholesomeness that the script has to offer is what has excited both Salman and Rashmika,” the source added.

Sikandar marks the reunion of Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala after their blockbuster collaboration on Kick in 2014. The film goes on floors in India in June, followed by international shoots. Pre-production work is already underway, with location scouting in progress. Music for the film will be composed by Pritam.

For Rashmika, Sikandar adds to her already impressive lineup of upcoming films. She will be seen next in Pushpa 2, followed by Chavva.
