“Tirath Singh Rawat” confirmed as New Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
A long-time BJP Member, “Tirath Singh Rawat” was one of the candidate in the race of becoming new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
He Became CM Because His predecessor “Trivendra Singh Rawat” resigned on Tuesday 9th March 2021.
Garhwal Member of Parliament “Tirath Singh Rawat” on Wednesday i.e 10th march 2021 took oath as Chief Minister of Uttarakhand at the Raj Bhawan in Dehradun after he was elected by the BJP Legislature Party.
About – Mr. Tirath Singh Rawat (57), who was the Uttarakhand BJP chief in 2013-2015, was a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council before the creation of Uttarakhand during 1997-2002. He was an MLA in Uttarakhand in 2012-2017, and previously held the post of Education Minister in 2000-2002.
Speaking to Press he thanked legislators and party leaders for the opportunity. He also said that he would “carry forward the work done by former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.”
